Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. InsightTrader is an analytics tool — your trading data exists to serve you, not to be monetised. We do not sell your personal or trading data.
InsightTrader ("we", "us", "our") operates the InsightTrader trading analytics platform accessible at insighttrader.io.

Account data — When you create an account we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.
Trading data — When you upload a broker CSV we store the fill and trade data contained in that file, including instrument names, quantities, prices, and P&L figures. This data is associated with your account.
Usage data — We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, for security and operational purposes.
Payment data — Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Stripe shares with us limited billing information (last 4 digits, expiry, billing email) required to manage your subscription.
Communications — If you contact us via email or the support chat, we retain those communications to resolve your inquiry.
To provide and operate the Service — storing and processing your trading data so you can view analytics and reports.
To manage your subscription — communicating billing events, sending receipts, and enforcing plan limits.
To improve the Service — understanding aggregate usage patterns to prioritise features and fix bugs. We use anonymised or aggregated data only; we do not sell or share individual trading data.
To communicate with you — sending transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
For security and fraud prevention — detecting and preventing unauthorised access and abuse.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL hosted on AWS). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Whilst we take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to help@insighttrader.io.
Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Supabase processes your account credentials and stores your trading data on our behalf.
Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
OpenAI — Users on the TradeBot plan may use AI-powered tools. Queries submitted to these tools are processed by OpenAI's API. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's usage policies; we do not send identifiable personal information beyond what is necessary for the AI response.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for their marketing purposes.
We use only essential cookies required to maintain your login session (set by Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We retain your account and trading data for as long as your account is active.
If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax purposes).
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing help@insighttrader.io.
Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion — You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability — You may export your trade history via the Export feature (Elite/TradeBot plans) or by contacting us.
Objection / Restriction — You may object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
California residents (CCPA) — You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK residents (GDPR) — You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
To exercise any of these rights, email help@insighttrader.io. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
